Houston Dealer Recommending DPF Deletes...

I talked to a dealer in Houston today after a client of mine told me that they recommended getting the H&S DPF Delete kit....
The Service manager told me that they have sooo many emissions related issues that they are trying to get ahead of it and they are actually installing them!! >> He told me that they have a lot of people that bought the 6.7 to tow a boat 1 or 2 times a year and then barely use the truck for what it was intended for after that >> He said that it is almost to the point that he is scheduling the next appointment for the trucking that is leaving...
They said that don't recommend programmers because other dealers will have a problem with that but they are starting to bend on the DPF's....

He told me that they recommend H&S over BADP primarily for price but he said both were well built.

Also they had a problem with too many people coming to them for warranty work when they didn't buy from them... I am trying to get in good with them so they won't have a problem with me.

Which dealer??? or at least which part of town and then we can figure it out. A dealer on the SW side told me that "guys are getting 2 to 3 mpg's improvement" w/ a programmer. This is after they replaced my dpf. Didn't say anything about the delete and I had a performance shop say they wouldn't install a delete because they didn't want to get into trouble.

I don't think I would speak too loud about this dealer. Don't want to ruin a good thing and get them nailed. All it takes is some lib poser to get on here and find out about this dealer and turn them in.

I dont need it spelled out just hint around and I'll figure it out, doesn't really make any sense to share your findings of a good dealer if you can't generally speak of their location, just my .02!

The Service Manager asked me not to mention their name but he was up front, honest, and very frank about the issue... I will tell you that they are a major dealer in Houston... I think I know where I'll be buyin the next truck! hahaha

I just couldn't believe it when my customer told me about it and that they are going to install it for him... I had to call and hear it for my self! It would be worth the 1.5 hour drive to deal with an honest dealership!

BTW... There are only about 4-5 Major Dodge dealers in Houston...

I asked him specifically about the warranty and if doing this mod would kill it... He said that the exhaust system is not the engine and that if you free up the airflow it can't hurt the motor. So NO it WILL NOT void the Warranty. >> I didn't ask about deleting the Egr... Didn't wanna push my luck.
