These people don't think that we should be able to own them. They think they are too wasteful. Alot of hypocracy too since I've been asked this by two people driving BMWs with way more performance than they "need". It's just pointing the finger.

Right now it's trucks. Then it will be performance cars. Then it will be houses. Hey "why do you need a 1500 square foot house for you family?, did you know in Japan you only need 600 square feet?" I'm just making numbers up but the trend is there.

Today the liberals can pat themselves on the back when they drive a Prius but eventually no one will like having to cut back every where.
Your post should be stapled to every door in America, because that is exactly what will happen in 5,10,or 15 years.

I was reading the other day that on the Western Slope of Colorado, there is enough oil shale to supply the U.S. with oil for the next 100 years.

However, this left-leaning state's elected senator - Democrat Ken Salazar - is standing in the way of exploration/refinement because "it would not be available for use before 2015 and does nothing to help gas prices now."

It's douche bags like that who are the real problem. They said the same thing in 1995, and look at things now. Excuse me, but 2015 isn't that far off. And if nothing else, it provides us with a domestic supply of oil - and most importantly - the ample time needed to perfect alternative fuel technologies.

Liberals won't rest until everyone either rides a bike, scooter or drives a 100 mpg clown car to work.

Could be, but it has a CAT & DPF, not too sure about the NoX filter. Never has any problems so I have to think there is a solution if they will just spend the money to roll out the fix.

The MB wasn't designed to drag 10,000+lbs around like our trucks were so the engineers were able to design the system to work effectively since they had a narrower duty cycle range to work with.

It seems that those who run these trucks heavy, hard and over the road have fewer issues than the rest of us who drive back and forth to work everyday unloaded.

Slag, you know what question the liberals will ask next; why do you need such a big diesel just to drive back and forth to work?

I'm not beatin' on you because I use my truck for the same thing.

But they don't understand the reasons. Heck, a lot of people around here might not either.

Sounds like the very first thing the GF asked when I parked in her driveway.

I commend everyone for taking the time to contact DC about our issues with these 6.7L trucks. I feel it totally comes down to money and the Gov. and DC has more money than we do. We as performence junkies and enthusiast are the minority. Most people than own these trucks will never understand what a dpf is and most of them probably don't care. Just my .02

All i know is im gettin better fuel milage, and my truck runs better modified, and if the epa wants to fine me ill just put it back to stock then send them my fuel bill. I think its absoutely insane that the more they crack down emmissions (inter lowering fuel milage) the higher fuel prices soar. My 92 cummins would black out a 4 lane and still pull 22mpgs, and diesel what only 1.50, then my 02 dmax was getting 17 city diesel jumped to 2.00-2.50. then i bought my Cummins a whopping 12.3 mpgs and diesel soared over 5 bucks a gallon. Someones gettin rich off the epa and it aint me.
