My truck was Stolen Just for the diesel, Pictures of the damage

So just like it says. My 96 Dodge was stolen from the Dodge Dealer(of all places) last night. July 20th. I had it there for a while as the mechanic was doing me a side favor. They clipped the fence and drove it out the back. It was found on the other side of the town on the side of the road. I had brand new Yukon gears and master rebuild kits for both Diffs in the back seat, they did not take them thankfully. Along with my truck three others where stolen and one just the diesel. So it was a busy night in the small town of Sealy Tx.

I had about 1/2 to full tank and when the dealer got it back this afternoon the fuel light was on. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking about that, with fuel getting expensive. They might not look first, but what about a return to the old locking fuel cap days?

iv got a locking fuel cap. but if they really wanted to steal fuel all they would have to do is drill the tank.

the locking gas cap wont stop somebody on a mission but it could cause them not to want to deal with the hassle and move on to the next truck.

It takes 2 seconds and a pair of pliers to remove the screw-on style locking gas caps...........

I know the feeling of having your truck stole. Matt you are familiar with Louisiana. I had my 91 stole out of my yard (MY FAULT KEYS WERE IN THE IGNITION) and the punk (15 year old) kid drove it to Houma Louisiana, bogged it in some old man's front yard and run off with his g/f.

Anyway, for those of you not familiar with the area, it was about 4 hours away. I woke up to a guy calling me wanting to know if I owned a 91 dodge and why was it in his front yard. I was like WTF???

Anyway, glad it was recovered safely.
