flash truck before dpf delete

just wondering what is the best flash on my new 6.7. i'm doing dpf delete on monday. i just got my truck 1400 miles on it. but was built 02/08. i'm thinking my dealer didn't do the latest flash cause milage sucks. 13.1 is best i've seen. (hand calulated). i also drive my truck a little hard. i got someplace to be at all times. i didn't buy truck putt around. i also pull 20.000 lb racecar trailer so i need to do something about this mileage thing. my 04.5 kick this things butt for now.12 mph loaded 18 unloaded. (driving it like its my dads as my son would say.) i hope this changes with the deletes. also can do egr delete without any real trouble after the dpf delete? i don't care about soft codes either.

I was wondering the same thing. I've heard there's actually close to a dozen different flashes out there, and if you don't complain they're not going to call you and tell you that there's a updated flash. (because they're not always sure the new ones will be better than some of the older revs...)

What flash are you currently at? If it was ever updated at all there should be a TSB sticker under the hood in front of the radiator.

I'm also wondering what flash levels BADP (and others) have used on their trucks when testing. I'm guessing this would make a difference. I tried asking someone at BADP this over the phone, but the guy I talked to wasn't sure which level their truck is at....

13 is pretty normal mileage for these things....I believe the aq flash is the latest for the 08 but I could be wrong. I don't think you are going to be seeing any real mileage gains with different flashes....the dpf delete will help out some.....

I would have the dealer do the latest flash before you delete the stuff.
