Am I the only one who's never seen a DPF full message?
I have a '07.5 6.7L. At somewhere around 10,000 miles, my dpf and front cat were replaced, and the ECU was reprogrammed. I now have 25,000 miles on it and the truck has _never_ given a 'DPF full' message on the overhead. I read all kinds of threads on here talking about it, but I've never seen it. Am I the only one? I can get the tsb number for the flash I'm running if anyone is interested. I talked to some people, and I was told there are close to a dozen different (dealer authorized) flashes for this motor. The main differences between them is that they all have different regeneration strategies. Some use more 'soft' regen, which is where they are burning the DPF off a little bit, but more often, (basically just trying to keep the temp of the DPF slightly higher pretty much all the time,) and others let it get plugged producing the message on the overhead and requiring the 'hard' regen, (power burn). Has anyone else heard anything like this? Anyone else never gotten the dpf full message?

In 8500 miles I have seen it about 20 times. Funny thing is, its always when I am pulling 17k, when I get to where I am going and shut the truck down while it shows the message. Then when I restart it the message is gone. When I call the dealer they say just go drive for 45 min and it should clear. Some days I would have to go on these joy rides 2 - 3 times. Seems like B.S. to me.

~21600 miles and no messages on the overhead. But, my truck spends over 50% of the time hooked to the trailer and probably 85-90% highway miles.

16K miles and no such message. I drive about 70% city, 30% highway and tow 5000 lbs about 500 miles a month. Have had plenty of P2000/P20A1 (o2 sensors replaced a few times) as well as P2262 (turbo replaced). Had AX flash since it came out months ago.

The SIL and her other half get that message when we go off the grid into the boonies. Most of the time it is with the TT in tow. The trouble is you would be hard pressed to do 45 mph in some of these areas, at any time, let alone for the better part of an hour. It usually says 80%, when it will throws the warning at them. No way in hell to do anything about it out there, we just hope it keeps running.

Never had it on this end, run 95% highway and never tow anything of any significance.

10k and zero messages of any type on the overhead - only had to have the O2 sensors cleaned once a few weeks ago. So far so good.....
