Red neck Commie Sniffer Van!

Smoke'em up.

You know I'll bet the chemicals they are testing for won't even register the diesel soot. This is not really a contaminant as it is with the gasoline emissions. No sulphur in it. Catalitic mufflers create sulphur because of the heat they generate. A finer particulate matter which remains suspended in the air and is responsible for acid rain. Diesel soot is heavy and falls to the ground and therefore not inhaled.

Someone has now torn it out but I always wanted to take a picture of the 4ft. Cedar tree that was growing out the side of a creosoated railway tie.
A farmer used them as fence posts and the tree had started from a seed in the crack of it. So go figure eh!

Just for the enviromentalist to choke on!

Dude i would say you will be fine. I think the gasers that run by that thing that heavy on the bad emissions. I think they get a letter saying "your car is a bad car, will you please fix it so my tree will be happier" some stupid crap like that. In the yr to come that thing will be used as tool along with getting your car registered or inspected. If it fails as you pass it you wont be able to get your tags until its fixed

I pass them all the time right by my work. I dont think they have a camera set up with them. I know they take readings on the exhaust as you pass but I think its just for study. Its not to bust people. I have never ever heard of a single person getting in trouble from one of those. I have a cracked DPF and it smokes pretty good all the time. I have been by that thing a hundred times and never seen anything in the mail about it.
