Unhappy 07 owners keep a look out!

So I was helping this guy that boke down the other day. I offered to give his family a ride home and when I lifted my rear seat behind the driver. I found a puddle of water in there. So I talked to the dealer and they said there is a service bulletin out about this. My truk goes in tomorrow to have this problem fixed ( keep your fingers rossed ). So anywho just thought you all might want to keep an eye on your rear storage area with the wet season headed our way!

So I drooped off my truck this morning. They were showing me that if you pick up the seat and reach up behind there. You can feel some foam and you could squeze the water out....I'm so pissed. But they are doing a hell of a job to fix it today. they are tearing out the carpet and and drying everything out. Couldn't ask for much more.........so the problem is that the rear window ( regardless if you have a slider or not ) will leak. and they were telling me about some bolt.....but that was something I couldn't wrap my head around. Why would there be a bolt that was leaking and or missing.... So they are also trying to find the right sealant that dodge is calling for. So thats about all I know as of right now...Just keep an close eye on everything.

Wow that’s crazy. I wonder if they will replace the carpet or but the old stuff back in. because if it happened to my truck I would try to have vinyl floor instead of the carpet.

I have power washed my truck several times and have never had a leak. I use the back all the time and have never felt or smelt dampness.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience the presence of water on or under the rear area floor
carpet.

DIAGNOSIS:
This condition may be due to water leaking past a small void in the adhesive used to retain
the backlite glass to the body panel. The backlite glass is retained to the vehicle body by
urethane adhesive. If the water leak is due to a small void in the backlite glass adhesive.

Sounds like a simple fix. Remove the glass, fill void, then re-install glass. I would be leary of carpet that the underlay was wet long enough that it has mold... should be replaced in my opinion.
