My buddy rides in the back and with the heavy rains the other day noticed a leak from the top of the rear slidder..... forgot all about it untill reading this post. Guess I"ll have to check on a recall and get this fixed A.S.A.P
Thank for the post

Well thats gonna suck if that is the case. They have been working on it for two days now. I picked it up and drove it home lastnight. Luckily no rain, but they have put the carpet and in a hot room trying to save it first. Dodge won't replace untill there they have tried everything. Hooray for me, looks like it's my turn in the ringer. But trust me I will be keeping a close eye on this to see how it developes. Also might not be to bad if it was trash.... I could go get a new 5.9 Anywho best of luck to the rest of you.

Well I picked up my truck tonight and it looks good! I don't think I should have any problems but I'm still gonna keep an eye on it..

Same thing happened to me, it was the rear window leaking. Sometimes a leak can also be caused by the seal on the 3rd brake light. The rear window usually gets broken when it’s removed. If there was any mold left on the carpet they should replace it without an argument. They replaced my slider with an aftermarket (non OEM) window so when I go in next week were going to have an interesting talk... I really hate dealerships!

Jeeezzz that really chokes me when the put aftermarket crap on vehicles... In my opinion the are an inferior product to OEM. I would fight tooth and nail for OEM. Your truck had OEM when you brought it in, and and now you have a devalued truck in my opinion. Jeezz you really don't know how much that ticks me off!

Replacing the rear window is a PIA - they dont come out easy and usually the pinchweld gets scratched, which is exposed. So you want to check around your window. Its much easier to seal than to r&r. I have used black primer to cover up scratches in the pinchweld in a nice straight line all the way around which usually looks ok and isnt very noticable. Some of the pre- 07s and some aftermarket windows cover up the pinchweld so you dont have to worry. GM had a big problem with bad sliders a few years ago. I replaced probably 30 of those.

I test drove a 07 5.9 regular cab about two months ago and found water in the inside (rear) cab light. The dealer let me remove both the inside and outside lights and never found a obvious leak.

That's crazy! Why wouldn't they replace it with OEM parts. Let us know how your "talk" goes.

Here is the verdict: I contacted the service manager on phone about the non-oem slider window they installed on my truck. He was gone when I came in for oil change and the service advisor I talked to was very mum. I reassured him as I did the service advisor that the window does not look like anything I’ve ever scene on a factory dodge. The first question again was if the replacement was done as warrantee work. The service manager then told me that their dealership does not ship oem glass and that all their glass work is stocked and installed by 2 local companies who only use Chrysler approved glass.
I feel like I’m really getting jerked around on this one.

No offense, you are. Demand that the window be EXACTLY like the one you had. I would be talking to the owner of the stealership and tell him/her that you are not impressed, and he/she prob wouldn't be impressed if it was their vehicle. THIS IS BS if you ask me.

Im going to call the parts department on monday and see what happens when I try to order a oem slider window from them. Im also going to see what I can accomplish going over the dealership.

What brand did they put in?
I recently installed a PPG slider that came packaged as Mopar. It appeared to be the same window as the original.
Safeguard is usually oem. PPG is making factory sliders for some Fords also.
