Feed back "white noise" or "engine whine" with heavy exhaust brake?? Do you get it?

Recently I had turned down the radio for some reason. I was driving down the High way with my brain in neutral and just thinking about stuff with it quiet. I got off the high way and at this exit I get a really deep and relatively loud exhaust brake... I then got radio feed back through all the speakers... For the stereo guys out there is was "engine whine"...
It will only do it during the heaviest load on the engine brake and then it will stop though the speakers but sometimes the exhaust brake is still working for a few seconds...
I cant notice it when the radio is playing and I can hear it, just when its on and the volume is down.....

What the heck causes this?? Can some of you guys 'test' yours to see if it does the same thing and check back in on this post?
Thanks again to all for the great info !

Try turning your radio off, rolling the windows down get off the highway and see if the sound you heard is the same as you were hearing!!! The whining sound is the restriction of exhuast gases in the turbo..

I get some reverberation into the dash making it rattle a bit when I used it in 3rd. I never thought too much as I probably have something in the glove compartment doing it.
