I would think in the low 14's if my 7800 pound truck is any indication. Your bullydog and DPF removal should pull more than .5 off the 1/4 as long as you can launch. I had a 2.152 60 foot and 15.218@88.71 at the big end with just an AFE CAI StageII w/Proguard7

Those little turbo 4 guys with no torque and 10,000 RPM got it figured out, if you ask me...

Agreed. I've seen them at the track many times. However, they are only going to go so fast. At some point in racing the cubic inch will take over.

Having owned 4 5.9's and now the 6.7 , the 6.7 definately is here to stay. It is a great motor and pretty much has the bugs worked out already. If you research the listed problems, they are all the same and have been addressed for the most part. Considering that the 6.7 is way ahead of the emmissions requirements and running on so called "Bad Fuel", it still spanks the 5.9's with all the go fast goodies..... STOCK. Now that is an achievement considering that the 5.9 is undisputedly considered one of the finest diesel engines ever manufactured. As an added bonus.. the 6 spd auto tranny happens to rival the famed allison with honors. It not only feels good and smooth, but I am still to hear a complaint. We don't even have to spend much time mentioning the exhuast brake as it is in a league of it's own.
My comments are based on my experience of owning both motors.
So to all that are considering a 6.7, I say DON'T WORRY......BE HAPPY.

I wish the problems I've still having with my truck were being adressed. Maybe tomorrow since they're going to keep it for two days to troubleshoot it with star.

Should be interesting.

What to buy

I am going to get a new truck this week, I can get an 06 3500 with the 5.9 (14k miles on it) or a new 08 2500 with the 6.7 I am hearing bad and good about both what do you guys think, they are about the same price and the 06 has a few extras already. Im just torn on which engine to get. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

I would say go with the 6.7 I have over 13k on mine and had 0 problems. The exhaust brake on the 6.7 I feel is bonus. I dont think you would be disappointed.

Listen i do have to say I owned an 6.7 it was 07.5 cab and chasis and it had many problems but it did have plenty of power and if you do some of the delets then you may posibaly gain even more. I got rid of my 6.7 and got a 1994 5.9 and love it but i am still thinking of going back to the 6.7 when they have been on the market a little longer. hope this has helped.
