"Hey Smitty, Do you have a 5.9 or a 6.7? 17 on the highway, is that at 70-75 mph? if so I can handle that. Not looking for grocery getter type mileage just do not want to be looking at 15 on the highway. Will be going to larger tires just nothing to extreme. Thanks everyone for the replies. Also ordered the 4.10 just cuz I am drag racer at heart, could not help myself, ya know what I mean?" It's a 6.7 17" tires about 70 MPH. |

Well i also have 3.73's which worked well until I put bigger tires on, now I wish I'd ordered the 4.10's. If you plan or installing a suspension system that includes good wheels..You have to pay little more..

if you don't own a 6,7 with a 6 speed tranny (auto), your answers mean nothing, post on the 5.9 forum, older 5.9's get better mileage (less hp, lower gears if really old), all the 6.7 forums have the same problems, people posting numbers on 5.9's with 4 speeds, pain in the rear

11450 miles on mine and I am averaging 13mpg mixed conditions and includes pulling 20 000lbs for round 25 miles on my last tank. I should also mention that also includes drifting to 85mph due to how sweet she rides.... Cheers Derek

I have been getting a solid 21mpg hand calculated over all. that includes stop and go traffic on the interstate that i deal with daily, regular "going to the store" driving and highway. SO my average is 21.

You will see more mpg after you have 50 turns on your motors. They are not broken in yet. My mileage went up after that. I see 20 hiway empty and 14 hiway towing 8,000lbs criusing at 70 mph.
