I Have a 07 2500 6.7 automatic Mega Cab and I am about to buy a living quarters horse trailer thats Loaded weight is around 15,500 to 16,000 Is my truck rated to pull this I have no owners manual to reffer to. I know the motor can handle I think I can pull a house with it but is the suspension frame etc... rated for that.

I have the same truck with air bags.... I wouldnt worry about it. I average 24-27k (GVW truck, trailer, load) 3-4 times a week. Im sure people are gonna tell you your gonna kill a van full of small children on the highway unless you buy a dually, but as long as you pull at a safe speed and pay attention your gonna be fine.

Keep the speed down and the eyes open. I had a 2500 dodge and pulled all kinds of horse trailers (with and without horses) and flatbeds for my parents dealership. Most I had was 20-21k worth of tractor and trailer. Put some airbags and an exhaust brake and you will be fine. The horses will like the exhaust brake as well cause it comes on smooth whereas some brakes are grabby when their hot.

Are you over your tow ratings? Definitely. Can your truck pull it safely? Sure.

4.10 gear trucks have a higher tow rating than 3.73 but I still think you are over the legal limits even if you had 4.10s.
