Oil Filter

Looking to change my oil and filter today. Does the oil filter really matter which one is used? If so what recommendation do you give?

These are the preferred ones around here.

FLEETGUARD LF16035 - STRATAPORE OIL FILTER ('03-'09) DODGE-Dodge Cummins Diesel Truck Accessories – Geno’s Garage

If your in a pinch the Mobile 1 is not horrible from Advanced, or Auto Zone.

Take care!

Lately I've been running the Puralator filter. Pep Boys has them. Mobile 1 is good too.
Be sure to let the truck sit for a long long time to drain the oil from the CCV. ONLY put 3 gallons in. Check the dipstick after you've driven and let it sit again for over 30min.

A less expensive but still high quality Fleetguard filter is the LF 3972. I think I paid 8 bucks per filter.
