mines the tekonsha voyager xt, and its right next to my right knee on the lower dash.

p.s. dont forget that ull prolly need the wiring pigtail that plugs into the wiring harness on the truck. i think its like 20 bux or so, the plug is on the floor under the dash on the drivers side, way up in the corner of the kick panel

Tekonsha P3, I think it is the best one I have ever used. I mounted in the cavity under the EB switch. It is easy to reach and it is out of the way from your legs. I do have a stick so I don't know about clearences with the auto or if it can be mounted in the same fashion.

Mounted my P3 in the slot above the radio. Easy to see, easy to reach and works great in that location.

Center Console Mount

My truck has a center console so I decided to mount mine there. I really like the location, it is easy to see the output numbers on the screen and within easy reach for manual braking.

I just read last night in TDR issue #66 review of the Max Brake trailer controler. They also mention the Brake Smart... These both work off actual brake line pressure.. with a sensor..in the line. I never new that there were controlers that worked like this. They are pricey but I think this is the way I am going. Try to read the review.

Yes they are abit expensive but when we were full-time RV'ing, I wanted a controller I could count on and this one has been troublefree. When I traded the Chebby dualie this spring for a real truck, I simply bought the Dodge harness and a new tee for the master cylinder and reused the pressure sensor and controller. It's a simple installation.
