Glad I can joke with somebody on here about this without somebody getting their maxi-pads in a wad and blessing everyone out. Remember the last Cobbs diesel thread in the "Performance Section"??? I got called all kinds of names, and all I did was make 1 comment about if SOMEONE (not necessarily Cobbs) was a liar, I would call them out.......And folks ran with that, then included me in their bashing fest, and saying that I needed to act like a man and what-not.....I thought I was acting like a man by not participating in childish bash-fest and not responding to their demeaning posts towards me......What do you think?
Hey it's all in good fun, well for me it is. I love a good back and forth FRIENDLY bash fest. Maybe bash is to harsh a word....but you know what I'm getting at.

I remember that whole mess in that thread but before I could type my piece it was shut down. I was way shocked to find out that when you got your Smarty and installed it that you got a bunch of hate mail about that one. That was even more BS than the Cobbs thread.

Yeah...just like C.Leonhardt said........Be sure and get atleast a 4" TBE (Turbo Back Exhaust....which means it's everyting from downpipe to tail-pipe.). I'd recommend going with the 5" TBE, b/c it helps to keep your EGT's cooler b/c it has a larger capacity which means there's more area for the gasses to fill-up as they're escaping, therefore the bigger your exhaust, the cooler your EGT's will run. Just food for though.

Yep....I got lots of hate-PM's from other members calling me a "traitor" and all kinds of other ugly names I won't repeat. It was past, and by my non-reply, was my way of telling them to kiss my arse.

It's so stupid...We're all on the same team in a way, b/c we're all trying to achieve code-free, super-powerful, awesome MPG machines.....Some use the Smarty and other the XRT & Black Maxx and other products....Like Edge Juice, PPE, etc....

Has anyone used the hypertech after the dpf delete? I use one of those currently but after about a week of using it the CEL comes on.

Here's the flo pro catalog, something for you to look at as I think most guys on here are using these kits

http://www.flopro.com/DPFCAT09FEB16.pdf

You may be able to get the 635 kit to work with your existing exhaust, don't know for sure myself as I have never tried to make one of these kits work with a cat back exhaust system.

Here's some more handy numbers to know when ordering or looking at systems.

636NB is the 5" turbo back system with no bungs seeing as you don't need the foolers if you run either the smarty or xrt

639NB is the the same kit as above but without the muffler.

As for the Hypertech, I don't know anyone that is running one on the 6.7L with the dpf deleted. Honestly I would much rather see ya spend your hard earned dollars on either the smarty or xrt as they have been proven products in the dpf delete world.

And those two will be code free.

These are my suggestions....You will get great results from the Black Ops intake horn. Buck (Black Ops Diesel owner) said his jumped up to 21.5 or something like that after he installed his for testing.

I have one of his horns, but haven't had the time to install yet.

Also, give James @ Rollin Smoke Diesel a call, and tell him that Alabama Mud Machine sent ya. He can hook you up with whatever you need. He also sells the Black Ops intake horns.

So I took off my MAP sensor when I got home yesterday and I dont know how it was sensing anything at all it was almost 100% covered in soot so I cleaned that bad boy off and put it back in.

I can only imagine what the rest of it looks like inside.

I have read that you can unplug the EGR as well, will that help me at this point or should I just wait and do the EGR and DPF delete? Will unplugging the EGR have any effect when I am pulling a horse trailer?

It will help some....but I'd just recommend doing the Smarty, deletes, cold-air intake, and the BOD intake horn.

Those will be your best bet in the long-run of things.

I think Austin can back this up but I am pretty sure that the Smarty has a much more smoother power band through out the rpm range. Which will do wonders on the drive train to help keep it in check. I want to say the XRT is more like the old PMT in which it fuels really hard on the low end and is probably why it makes so much black smoke.

The Smarty is MUCH smoother power delivery, but it still comes on very strong.

The XRT is MUCH like the old PMT and how it fuels really hard in the bottom-end and smokes alot.

However, my Smarty felt WAY more powerful on the bottom end than my XRT did. Plus I like less smoke, so I kept the Smarty and sold the XRT.
