Smile 6.7 mpg gain w/ dpf delete

First things first, yes I like beating dead horses. Everytime I search for this topic I find threads that are at least a year old. I've got a 2007.5 quad cab 4x4 w/ 6.7 that I bought new in December 07. The truck is completely stock and I just rolled over 36k miles. I'm currently getting 17hwy/16city hand calc'd. I'm considering the dpf/egr delete w/ smarty. I would like to hear some real world mpg numbers from people with dpf deletes. If your overhead reads 25mpg I don't really give 2 s*its. I'd like to see hand calc'd numbers. Please specify 2wd or 4wd. I think that if I could get 19mpg hwy it would be worth it.

Check thru the journal link in my signature. Lot's of people have helped compile that info on the smarty & deletes.

Um yeah..... No one gets 30 in a 6.7. I don't know why some idiots get there rocks off posting complete crap on these websites. It's like they're in some kind of fantasy land competition to see who can type the biggest number. In that case I get 40mpg in my 6.7, I win. Most of them can't even spell mileage yet they can apparently use a computer. I'm interested in reality. If you've done a dpf delete on a 6.7 4x4 and have hand calc'd your fuel mileage, and you're not completely full of crap, please reply to this post with your results. I really, despite my cynicism, would appreciate it. Thanks.

Depending on my highway driving I have got as high as 22-23, perfect conditions light traffic cruise set at 65, usually though I get around 19-20 highway with traffic and such, and it goes downhill fast once I start crusing over 67 mph, its an improvment of 4-5 mpg from when my truck was stock, this is running my smarty on SW 5 vgt 3 and my truck is 4x4.

Drbrodent, I realize that 33" tires are pretty close if not exactly the same height as stock. Is your speedometer/odometer completely accurate? Those are pretty good numbers. Looks like there's some hope for this thread after all.....

Just hand calculated mine today at 18.7. I live around 5,900 ft. above sea level. Keep in mind this is with heavy RBP wheels and 33 inch open country mt's and a lot of big long rolling hills. This was mostly all interstate driving at 70 mph. I know for a fact that it would do better with stock wheels and tires but I am more than happy with this number.
I have hand calculated a little over 21 with the stockers.

If I drive with a light foot really trying to get MPG which I do 95% of the time I can get as high as 23.1 hand calculated on a 500 mile trip always get over 22. Overhead said 25.2 all interstate.
Pulling the 5ver grossing 19500 lbs the best has been 14.1. I don't know about city our city is only about 3 blocks long and I don't like citys anyway.
O yea I'm 62 years old so I don't get in rush so all this was going 65 mph. Smarty set on SW1 Revo # 0.

Ironnads, your allright.

Hand calculated, miles driven verified by my GPS, the best I have seen is 18 mpg, that is on 35 inch tires, 2 1/2 inch lift, 70 MPH the whole way, cruise control, heater on, DPF Delete with K&N drop in filter.

Currently have a few more mods that would help in the mileage department, but I have not driven the truck in 7 months. I am sure this thread will once again be reposted, so I will post my new numbers come spring time when I get home from this hole.
