another vote for no problems.
I got one dealer recall, about a firewall wiring harness strap, took it in and the guy put a pop in zip tie on in about 2 minutes. Got another notice, but it was in regards to VIN #s below mine. steering I think it was. Have not had turbo clog, dpf trouble, tranny trouble, nothing. I drove it nearly 50,000 miles before deletes were done. Ran the EDGE and MP-8 stacked half of that time. It is a solid truck in my slightly slanted opinion.

No problems for me either. Only the wiper motor recall fix. Nothing else so far. Love this truck!

Nothing will be brought to light in the media that has anything bad to say about the green movement. Nothing will be done about it because people don't stand for principle anymore. They want what's best for right now. If we as a community had a set of cohones, nobody would own a vehicle with a dpf in protest. It'll never happen though, people need their shiny new government endorsed trucks. What do we get for our reward for stepping in line? Urea. Thanks. Eventually people will get it.

Yea cause it is horrible to back into my garage with the engine running and not have to smell diesel fuel while I hook up my boat. Heck if they can get the technology to work, why not? What is the problem with clean power if it works. The first of most products are not stellar, but today we have 650hp corvettes with emissions that run hard with no issues.

The technology doesn't work by and large and I'd be willing to bet that vehicles cost twice as much as they should due to the epa regulations put on the manufacturers. The only reason diesel isn't a dollar a gallon is because of the refining that has to be done to achieve ulsd specs. If it works so well why are they moving to urea? Then what after that? All so somebody doesn't get that diesel smell when he runs his truck in the garage.

They are moving to urea because in 2014 the regulations will become even stricter for diesel emissions.

This is not being done so I can run my truck in my garage, but it is a great side benifit. After 2010 the air going into a diesel engine will be cleaner than the air coming out.

I am not sure if I agree with all the reasons this is being done, but it does work and there are tangible benefits. I like this form of green engineering a million more times than a hybrid. Diesel actually makes sense and is practical.

You can melt down a deisel and recycle it when it dies, can somebody tell me what we are going to do with millions of lithium batteries when they are dead?

Dude.... No problems on my 07.5 other than a fan clutch bearing dying at 30k miles and dpf blowing out @ 36k. Dealer wouldn't fix either even tho they were warrenty items... Said the fan clutch bearing wasn't a problem (sure got quiet. After I replaced it) and as for the dpf they said a diesel is sposed to smoke.... That's normal. ... I laughed @ them and gave h&s a call for a 5" tbe dpf delete. No troubles and 80k on the ticker.... And its even one of the horrible 07.5......... I couldn't be happier.......

with a 07.5 could not keep it running, nor could the dealer with 70+ days in the shop trying. i could have used several more choices in the problem area also. the 08 is trouble free. looking at various polls, and surveys i beleive about 80% of these trucks are unplugged or deleted. this is what is keeping these trucks out of the dealership.
