did i get ripped off?


well a customer of mine just opened up a auto repair business 2 mths ago. his business is getting off to a slow start, so i decided to give him a little business , i got a oil change and transmission flush. i figureed it b about $250. NOT!!!! it was $369.00 i feel ripped off

yea, i pay about 120 bucks for oil, 30-40 for filter, and 20 bucks labour for a oil change, here in canada.. as far as transmission goes, flushes seem to do more harm then good, so i would recommend it to anyone. so i dont know how much they are

I guess flushing will send the metal shvaings all over into places that you dont want, and then not to long after, usually within 5000 km you will have a tranny issue.. happened to my duramax, and many other guys on this forum

hes small so hes probly charging more for labor trying to stay above water in this economy from hell.

i would never flush a auto tranny just because i had it go out right after on one of my trucks i used to have it sends metal into everything in the tranny and eats away at it

i was able to see the old fluid come out and it didnt have any metal shavings. the machine they used one the latest greatest from GC . the owner used his truck to try out the new machine. the GC rep showed them on his truck. his is a ford 250. well if mine goes out so will his.

your going to have to buy a new transmission now.

maybe drop your pan and oil and refill it and hope for the best
