theft prevention ideas

I'm looking for ideas to help prevent my truck from easily being stolen.

Does anyone know of a part that can be removed easily to prevent function of the truck?

How about ways to prevent breaking the locks?

I know a common place for a truck to be broken into is the sliding glass window. So I cut a piece of dowle rod to length and placed it in the track so you can't open the window.

Put a battery disconnect somewhere hidden but easily reached for you.

Someone needs to make a switch to put in the trucks hidden so when turned on, the truck will not start.

Did the same thing... but who ever wanted to brake in just broke the back glass

Its a horrible feeling to have someone streal from you at your own home. anyways Best advice is to put some alarm stickers on your rear window and side windows (small sticks) that will at lease make someone think twice before busting a window or braking in

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a battery disconnect?

A switch (Toggle for example) flip it one way and you have power, flip it the other way no power

On a more serious note...
I have fuel pump kill switches on my cars. I'll be installing one on the truck when I get the chance.

Problem with a fuel pump shut off is a thief will keep cranking thinking something is wrong and screw up your starter, with a battery disconnect they are not going anywhere.
