Actually, you don't have to use magnets on the harmonic ballancer, the notch in there is sufficient to break the magnetic field, also I would forget about the alternator mount. I know what you want to do, :thumbsup same thing I did, check out pictures of my truck on my truck profile, I have a couple of my gauge setup, I am sure you will have questions, ask away!!:thumbsup
