I've been considering a v-plow as well, but I'm not sure I like it as well as a straight blade. Too many things to go wrong on it I think, and it looks like the Wideout can move more snow. I also like the way you can remove the lower mounts so you don't have the clearance problems with most plow mounts in the off season.

Yes you can still and will always be able to get blizzard. They are not discontinuing the product. If you are in a area that has a lot of heavy wet snow and need to open roads then a V is best. I ran a 9.5fisher on my F450 for 4 years and loved it. But now that I have 11'3" of plow with scooping ability there isn't any comparision. I make 2 passes for every 3 on a standard straight or V. Time is money when plowing and the blizzard saves me a lot of time.

Don't be scared by moving parts these plows are very well designed and can handle anything. Like I said in my previous post get it moded in Erie by Jerre, well worth it.

Don't be fooled by a chain lift either see the debate. No advantage by having one JMO

There is actually a Blizzard Dealer in OH (i think he is in OH) that has been authorized to do the mods. I can get you his info if you want.
