I special-ordered a 2008 QCSB 4X4, just got it in last week. Great truck! I'm interested in a 2" leveling kit and taller tires, maybe 305/70/17 that I can use with my stock wheels.
I've looked at a Rancho leveling kit, RS6566, that comes with upper/lower arms, spacers, and dual-shock mounts. Has anyone installed this kit? I'm wondering about the quality of the kit.
Also, taller tires would require some reprogramming for the speedo, mileage, etc., to read correctly. Would this reprogramming void my warranty in any way? Also wondering how the TPMS system will work with a taller tire..
i personally would not choose rancho..there are many superior companies..if you want a very nice riding kit check out the kore or lorenz HD leveling kit with the bilsteins
if thats not the route you want to go then check out top gun customs for some spaacers..but i wouldnt recommmend rancho
as for tire you will want to go with 315s because the wheels wells are very large on the 3rd gens and will fit a good size tire with a leveling kit..i recommend toyo m/ts for the tires

Thanks bigblue24. I'll check out the kits you suggested. I'm especially interested in new upper/lower arms to keep the steering geometry unchanged. Don't know if this is a big concern with only 2" of leveling... Also unsure if 315's will fit the stock 17x8 rims.
Anyone install a leveling kit on a 2008 using 315's? Post pics please. THANKS!

I second the Lorenz or Kore leveling kit. I bought the Top Guns Customz leveling pucks and ended up selling them to have the Lorenz 5100 System instead. Still waiting on the coils then I'll install this kit. Can't wait:thumbsup
Lorenz looks like they have a great leveling kit. I like the idea of replacement coils instead of spacers. Thanks for all your help PRSKILLER, and for the pics Mad Mike!

Exactly what he said! I put some Rancho shocks and a stabilizer on my truck as a temp "fix" and wore out some other more expensive parts..Get a KORE kit. It will ride better than stock. You can also get Fox, King, Sway-Away shocks later to run with the coils for an even better ride. :thumbsup
Run Toyo tires. 35X12.5X17 on stock wheels clear just fine. Make sure they are Load "E", and 10ply.
I compared the Lorenz Bilstein Leveling System ($565) to the Kore HD Leveling Kit ($335), both are identical and very high quality. Both come with Bilstein 5100's, new 2" lift coils, and drop blocks for your stabilizer bar. Kore looks like the way to go.
Sean from Lorenz reminded me that longer length control arms aren't needed with the 2" kits. Thanks ptgarcia for your reply as well.

Yep! Be sure to get the KORE endlinks as well, they make a huge difference.:thumbsup
