Not for highway use? This is in our company I D because One Up Offroad parts are for racing use only and the end user assumes all responsibility if they use our products.

i think what they mean is taht if someone want to be an idiot and drive like a goon they arent responsible if the vehicle flips of something

it definately would make for a smooth riding daily driver. one of their bullletins says that a offroad capable truck doesnt have to be beat to crap and covered in dents, yet offorad capable doesnt mean it cant handle like a dream down the road. its on a video of this excursion.

READ THE SCROLL!!

Im didnt mean a a lifted truck(mud truck) is beat to crap and covered in dents either. Here is mine. Built for mud but isnt beat to crap and covered in dents. I also won't hesitate to drive it into town to go grocery shopping either

personally..i like the look of a truck with huge clearance..with huge tires taboot. That is officailly my dream truck. and even if it says for off road use only, i dont see what adjusting the spring rate of those coiovers couldnt do to make it handle a little more road friendly

I think i just creamed by pants...

Love the look of it, but i must agree, its a little excessive and especially that kind of price for something that would have to be a trailer queen!

like i said..i dont think it is for off road use only. when i got my truck lifted up 5" they gave me a warning flyer about the center of gravity and such. I think that by saying off road use only, taht is their equivalent of a warning flyer for a 16" lift

and if nothing else you can just adjust the spring rate for better handling

yeah i saw the flex putting the tire up into the wheel well almost however i still think i'd want a bigger tire than 40" i remember a thread a while ago about lifts and a bunch of guys were running like 8" lifts with 33" tires, looked retarded, this truck is way better looking than those guys but is about on the same tire/lift ratio as those trucks,i huess i'm kinda traditional in that sense i like alot of wheel/tire with just enough lift, whatever happened with that one truck you were looking at with the 14" lift and the 46" tires? that's about the right proportions

A sway bar would help the road manners way more than tweaking the spring rate. Just disconnect it when off road to get your flex back. Also they should figure out a way to incorporate a steering box stabilizer into it. That one rod with heims on either end is a good idea but is only half there.

1000 mile drive, the truck had been vadalized recently and need mirrors and lights. had stock gears, stock trany, and a few other things that needed to be addressed to justify 31k IMO

i can get a 2007 5.9 or 6.7 for 20k here
susp for 8k (or 7,997.97 to be exact)
front diff cover mount for stab. for (400)
figure in $1600 for other accessories and then 5k for tires and wheels

and theres your show truck for 35k

that kit is focused around flex and travel. it clear 40s at max flex, rubs nowhere under complete compression, and it flexes the tires right up to the body. thats just the way they designed the kit. if you tried to flex like that with 46s then you would tear the sheet metal off

I'd throw a tranny somewhere in that equation, these 48RE can't handle that much which is what really suprises me about that Go Fast truck or whatever it was called, cause mine doesn't have a crazy amount of power or near the lift that alot of these trucks have and i don't use it hard and stuff is already starting to go bad at 24k on the odometer. maintenance is key to these trucks stock but jacked to the sky and power adders they start to fall apart. I've read your posts and know you're young, so am I but if you have it heavily modified kiss a warranty bye bye and get ready for more than you bargained for as far as parts and maintenance goes. oh and a fully built Goerend tranny isn't cheap but it's worth every penny IMO

thats why I said 5.9 or 6.7.

it my understanding that the tranny in the 6.7s is alot tougher, just dont know if i want to get into emissons mess. but everyone seems to think that after the deltes there is wayy more truck there then there is with the 5.9s
