Talking I feel like I just won the "Showcase Showdown" on The Price Is Right....

Sometime during the day of March 17th, I ended up losing a R/F center cap off The Radio Flyer. I really could not complain alot, as they've been off the truck 3 or 4 times for tire replacements and nearly 15 times for tire rotations. On a side-note.....I've always been the one to remove them as I felt I've always been more careful than any tire shop would be.

Now for some details :
  • Front Center Cap # 52106876AB lists for $123.00 each
  • Rear Center Cap # 52106877AB lists for $166.00 each

The best deal I could find via any online MOPAR dealer was $98.02 for the front and $118.29 for the rear. Amazon's best deal was $79.00 shipped for the front and $118.27 shipped for the rear.

My selling dealer (Don Marshall Chrysler in Somerset, KY) mentioned they'd taken in a set of steel wheels, simulators, and center caps off of a '17. The customer bought new wheels and had them rolled into the purchase price, and the Parts Department had given the customer partial trade for them.

I'd already committed to buying one front cap at $60. During my last rotation, one of the rear ones was getting loose (the cap separates / loosens from the "ring" that grips the lug nuts).

After I arrived, I inquired about simply buying all four. Grinning like a Cheshire cat, I ended up buying both fronts and both rears for

$200.00 total.

All four have a MOPAR list price of $578.00

The best deal online for four via MOPAR was $432.62

Amazon's best deal for all four was $394.54

I'm happy !!!! The other three are in a box, wrapped up, for later future use.

Well................those didn't last long.

Since I posted this, I've lost two rear center caps, with the most recent one being lost this past Thursday.

All I have remaining is one new front center cap. I'm certainly glad I ended up buying the entire set.....

With them being so expensive are you sure you are losing them while moving? I heard of some guys around here who had their tailgate stolen. They just go steal someone elses tailgate in their color. It is a bad cycle and imagine it may be happening with these caps and skins. My truck is parked by my bedroom window. I will put a round through a window if someone touches the truck LOL.
