CTDPWR, this is an awesome write up of a great build!!!
Your truck looks super, and I love the rifle mount. My HK MR556A1 would look awesome in one!!!
Thanks for all the great info.

Where do I mount that rifle?

Back seat mod:

Unbolt the back seat (4-18mm bolts for me, not a split bench).

Cut the hooks on the back like this.

And there ya go, now if you raise the bottom of the seat to about a 45* angle the back can fold down. When the bottom is all the way up or down the back is locked into place.

So where did you get those hangars? Great idea by the way.

They are just flat strap or strip of aluminum from Lowes. I think they sell it in different widths. What I used was maybe 3/4" wide or so? And it is sold in like 3' or 4' lengths. I just cut and bent it into the shape I wanted and stuck some weather stripping to it.

Little more off-roading today... I'll throw in some more pictures that some of you might get a kick out of. I know they aren't relevant to the truck, but they are in a post with pictures of the truck LOL. All of the pictures were taken with my phone (I have a good camera, but lately I have been trying to only use my phone and see how good they come out).

how much of a difference did the HBS steering box stabilizer make?
Eh, not much. I think i. Felt a little difference, but it was most likely in my head. Hopefully the difference will be un seen and in the future... In the way of making my steering box last longer.

Ok... Another 40 miles off road today. It is so rough. What can I do to fix it? The carli 6" radius arm looks sweet, but I'm not a dune racer, and never will be. I do 30-40 mph on rock roads. The rocks are sometimes like gravel, but at other times they are good sized, half buried and I end up just putting it in first and letting it idle along (and I still get tossed around).

I am thinking some good E load 37s that I can run at like 20 psi will help, but what about suspension? I also want it to have good articulation.

Full leafs in the back, shocks, etc?

Ideas? Prices?

carli radius arms would be nice fo sho!! Ive been off-roading in your neck of the woods. my girl friends sister and brother in law live in silverthorne. We took his jeep wrangler 4 door up some trails just like you described it was in some old abandon gold mining towns. If I was going to be running those trails like you do I would do the 6" carli radius arms, full leafs, fox 2.0s or better, 17" wheels and 37's, amd disconnect the sway bar when going offroad.. keep the pics and build comming!!

Did you drop your tire pressure? Maybe try a set of Thuren 3" Coils and a set of his Fox shocks, Thuren Sway bar and a new rear leaf pack or just cut the stock overload down to 11 inches. I am pretty sure that is what Don recomended for length.

The Carli sway bar would probably take care of a lot of your issues. I would also suggest some progressive springs up front.

It is some rocky stuff. It wears on you, 40 miles is about my limit. I feel bad for the truck.

Not sure what a full thuren fox kit is, but it sounds nice :) For what I do I think the 6" carli is over kill, I'm not gonna be jumping the thing. I don't know much about suspension but it seems like better articulation, bigger tires, and New springs/shocks is about the best I can do. The thuren arms that are bent for better tire clearance have always been intriguing.
