Aem releases first 50-state legal diesel water injection system

AEM RELEASES FIRST 50-STATE LEGAL DIESEL WATER INJECTION SYSTEM
Company is First to Attain CARB Approval for Technology that
Reduces Exhaust Gas Temps on Turbo Diesels

AEM has released the first ever 50-state legal Water Injection System for later-model Chevy, Dodge and Ford Turbo Diesels. This system allows users to legally use water injection on specific Turbo Diesels that are used on highways and surface streets in all 50 United States. The California Air Resources Board Executive Order (CARB EO) for select applications is D-392-35 (please see applications, below).

REDUCED EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURES
When properly introduced, water injection is proven to reduce exhaust gas temperatures, and can promote safer engine operation by reducing exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs). This makes it ideal for Diesel engines under heavy loads and when towing up grades.

APPLICATIONS:
Water Injection System Model Year Model Engine 30-3111
2001-2010 Chevy Silverado HD, Kodiak, Express, GMC Sierra HD, TopKick, Savanna, Hummer H-1 Alpha 6.6L Duramax
1994-2003 Ford F-Series Pickup, Excursion, E-Series Van 7.3L Powerstroke
2003-2007 Ford F-Series Pickup, Excursion 6.0L Powerstroke
2003-2010 Ford E-Series Van 6.0L Powerstroke
2008-2010 Ford F-Series Pickup 6.4L Powerstroke
2003-2007 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.9L Cummins
2008-2010 Dodge Ram Pickup 6.7L Cummins

50-STATE LEGAL WATER INJECTION FEATURES:
• CARB EO D-392-35 for specific Chevy, Dodge and Ford Turbo Diesels (see application chart above)
• Heavy-duty 200 PSI injection pump provides quiet, smooth operation
• Integrated “Boost Safe” feature monitors injection system for failures or low fluid conditions and can notify user (LED included) or activate safety strategy
• Machined billet injector with integral check valve (red nozzle for 50-state legal system)
• Factory set, boost-referenced progressive HD controller
• Low-profile, five-gallon water tank includes low fluid sensor and is easy to mount! (“Water Only” stamped on cap)

Ok, Bet this is why. EPA does not allow any modifications to vehicles Model Year (MY2012 or MY2011) because they are in the two year window. Once outside of the two year window, they may have the vehicles tested and once they pass, then the EPA allows the registration of the vehicle with the EPA label of the installed device as an exempted allowable item.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides this list of laboratories as a reference only. EPA does not endorse any
laboratory on this list and does not certify that they perform emission testing according to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 40,
"Protection of the Environment." Data supplied to EPA from these laboratories must meet all requirements of the CFR. It is the
responsibility of individual customers to affirm the laboratory's testing capabilities and the quality of the data...........

Name of Laboratory

Automobile Club of Southern California
Automobile Testing & Development Service
Automotive Engineering Labs, LLC
Automotive Testing Labs., Inc.
AVL Powertrain Engineering, Inc.
California Analytic Instruments, Inc.
California Environmental Engineering
Clean Air Vehicle Tech. Center
Colorado Dept. of Health & Env.- Aurora Lab
Colorado State University
Compliance and Research Services
Continental Powertrain Systems
Environmental R & D Corp.
Environmental Testing Corp.
ESW America / Air Testing Services
Intertek Automotive Research
I ntertek Automotive Research
Lotus Engineering, Inc.
MAHLE Powertrain, LLC.
Mercedes-Benz Service Corp.
Northern California Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc.

These are the certified testing labs. These are apparently the only ones "licensed" by the EPA to certify the equipment in relation to CFR, title 40.

In other words, even if the product works for the 2011 or 2012 vehicles, they can not legally sell OR ADVERTISE it for these MY's.

Doesn't mean it won't work, just not a legal add-on at this time for MY2011 or MY2012.....

Just saying......

2012 Ram 3500, G56, 4 x 4. Stock. SOLD.

All programmers who write a program onto the ECM will leave a foot print. They may only leave a "Flash", but the ECM logs the number of flashes, and when it doesn't line up with the OEM count they can normally dig a little deeper and find something.

Even the notorious MADS can't find a way around this for the 2012, I've asked.

Before I installed my programmer I went to the dealership and asked that they re-flash my ECM after adding lift and tires, so the ECM could "Re-learn" my driving habits. I will continue to ask for random reflashes to make sure I get my flash count up from the factory. If they never have a reflash on, and you remove programmer when you visit factory shop then they will have a much easier time finding the multiple flash count on your ECM evertime you loaded or unloaded the aftermarket program.

This is completely seperate from any Deletes, just programmer only.

It doesn't.

They just certified it with the epa for water use because it's not a fuel...thus easier to get the certification.
Mix in the methanol for the extra bonus, lol
