I would do just as Paul suggests. I would take it one step further back. Make sure you have the switch unplugged when you flash the new tune into the truck. Then try and use just the Autocal as Paul suggests to switch tunes, log the truck and email it in for review if you think you have a tune issue.

If you are waiting for a Steed Speed 6.7 VGT manifold it could be many months before Steed builds it. They take orders from vendors but only build about 12 a couple times a year. Dodge products are not their major seller, they build for all sorts of performance imports. I have a new never removed from box 6.7 VGT with all the gaskets and turbo flange that I am thinking of selling if interested.

2015 maximum steel 2500 Big Horn
Hardway EFI Live

I've been on their site multiple times for the last 2 weeks trying to decide which way to go with my brand new 2016. Is this just a random thing, or should I move on to another vendor?

07 Mega, 5.9 auto. S&B intake, Banks Monster 4" muffler delete, Amp power steps, Carli 3" kit with Nitto 305/17's. Turnover ball, airbags, autometer pillar gauges, GDP 2 micron kit. 1 piece aluminum driveshaft. Jake Brake.

I have never had trouble. Called several times and always had someone to help. I understand they are closed on weekends but during business hours I have never had trouble. If no answer I call back in a few. They are busy as heck there all daym

The Goat, thanks for information I can actually use. I will try to dial it back to number 1 and see if it makes a difference. I did install the tune with the switch disconnected. Also, when I change the switch to a different tune the truck is faster and hotter so I don't think the switch is the issue but I will give it a shot and run it without the switch.

As far as data logging I have done that already and sent it to them about a week ago. I have had zero response.

As far as the others that have chimed in. I have owned 5 diesels, I have modified everyone of them. I am new to EFI tuning but not new to Cummins or diesel. I am not some kid new to the planet. If there wasn't an issue I can assure you I would not be here pissing and moaning about an alternate method to reach these.

Put yourself in my shoes, I have paid for this stuff almost 2 WEEKS ago, around Thanksgiving. I was told the manifold was in stock and would be shipped out right away. The last one I ordered took 3 days to get to me. I have called and emailed multiple times on these issues. For members to say just "wait til they get back" or "I don't have a problem getting in touch" is not solving the issue or what this thread is about.

Cooterman, in my opinion I think you are an adult and can make your own decisions but from where I sit I sure wish I had done more research than I did going with them for EFI tuning. I now have a truck that I use for towing regularly that hits 1150 EGT with nothing behind it at less than 50% throttle in 30 degree weather on the tow tune.

One last point, if the members here have been around long enough you will remember a company called VanAken that very late in their business life floated and marketed a product that would offer custom tuning for Cummins Dodge diesels. Many people bought those tuners and I was one of them. It was a little over a $900. We were burned because there was no tuning or support or anything else other than empty promises and we didn't get our money back. The vendors and the company that sold the products to members knew the company was going under and sold them anyway. So when you have been burned like that it doesn't really leave you with much patience for this kind of nonsense from a vendor. This forum has an entire thread about members ripping off other members on the classified listings. How about a thread for vendors that don't produce or ship products that were promised and paid for? Just a touch of hypocrisy. Buyer beware! This type of apathy from a vendor that has taken money and not shipped or provided product or support is not acceptable and shouldn't be excused by anyone.

I realize That my post was not helpful and just an opinion so I'd rather not come off the wrong way. But I hate to hear that this guy has spent money and time with a tuner and I feel like big names like Ryan have time for the initial sale/business then forget about us since we are small fish and not high on his priority list to take care of. He has done this to one of my good buddies too, and he is too deep to just switch tuners and start over.

Any resolution?

I am waiting to hear back as well about making some slight changes to the tune i got from them. Mainly around the tranny since it is so lazy when it comes time to shift. I mean it is comfortable but i would rather have it harder and quicker.

Email was sent this morning so we will see how that 30 days of free changes works out.
