In my 06 and my 07.5 I had to re-wire the wiring to the back doors. Of the 8-9 wires that run through the door jam boot all of the smaller gauge wires were broken. The power locks, speakers and the door ajar sensor were not working. The only thing working was the power windows because it was heavier wires. Can be easily fixed. I find it unlikely that they would install them and wire them to not use them. I seriously doubt it is a computer issue. The boot can be pulled out from the cab pillar you will quickly see the broken wires if the case. Remove the door panel and push the boot into the door and feed it through the opening in the door at the top nearest the cab. Push the boot back as far as you can. I use a light tester, or something very sharp and pointy to unlock the pigtail pins as to remove all 8-9 from the white pig tail end. I took a photo of it prior as to not mix the wires up. Soldered them all back together and has been fine for about 2 years now on the 07 and a year on the 06. The rear doors open to a sharper angle and I believe this is the cause for the rear door wiring failing before the front doors. This I think this would be a good thing to try first.
