For installation on 2007 5.9L with 48RE trans

If you are interested in completing this modification, and you have a 2007 truck, the first thing you will notice is you do not have relays in your under hood power center.

You will basicly follow all the instructions for tapping the wire in the 7 pin round connector on the driver's side of the transmission. Pin #7, Color is Yellow with light blue trace, is the one you want.
See previously posted pictures for clarification.

Run the wire into the cab, and terminate your tap wire on one terminal of your normally open toggle switch. You then run a wire from the other terminal to Ground and terminate it. Note: If your switch happens to have 3 terminals, they may be labeled "C" for Common, "NO" for Normally open and "NC" for Normally closed, you will want the "C" terminal and the "NO" terminal.

Disregarding any relay modification, you will substitute the installation of a 33 ohm 1/2 watt resistor in the wire that runs from the switch to ground. These may be obtained at Radio shack, a Pack of 6 cost about a dollar. You will only need one of the resistors.

Cut the wire that runs from the switch to ground. solder or crimp in a 33 ohm 1/2 watt resistor. Insulate with electrical tape.

You are now ready to test drive.

Any questions on the 2007 installation, feel free to PM me.

One final note:In case you feel "Uncomfortable" shorting terminals on a relay, and you own a 2006 or ealier 3rd Gen, you may substitute this 33 ohm 1/2 watt resistor for the jumper wire on the relay. It makes it a little simpler installation, nicer for removal in case of selling truck, and a little less "Noticible" modification.

Thank you.
