Anyone think a 1k ohm resistor would work in place of the 33 ohm? I ask because I happen to have one here with a nice long wire and quality wire tap already attached.

well I checked the volts and with the truck running I have 14.2/14.3 something like that and when I flip the toggle it only drops to 13.5 or so. that seems right with what the alternator would put out. with out the truck running it's 12.6 flip the toggle and it drops to 12.2 or so. I guess it would be my ground, I will try another ground. If I remember right I think the volts had to drop below 12 to work right so I have some figuring to do.

FWIW, I just got done installing a lock-up switch using the 33ohm resistor from Radio Shack and it works as expected. :thumbsup

well I hate to say this but, you know when your wife tells you to try something and you just ignore her because there is no way she's right, she told me to get another toggle switch well guess what I put on another toggle switch and it works but like "feelmecummin" mine has alittle delay I can turn it on if i'm stopped and it wont kill the engine. when I was trying to short it out with just the two wire's I was in my drive way and not going down the road I guess the vb make's a diff.

mine will kill the engine when stopped, but i have to basically let off the throttle totally before it will lock up, which is def. not what i want. im going to try and re wire the whole thing using an on off on switch with off being unlocked all the time. on being locked by the pcm and the other on being at my command. this is how our pull trucks wired so it should work on the 03.

well know the truck won't go bad to 1st gear when you come to a stop sign it will stay in I think it's 2nd If you manually pull it down it just act's funny and this is with the switch off. I have a p0700 code does anyone know what that is. thats the only code I have but not sure if the code is from this mod or something else.

six, check your relay jumper...you dont need the relay, just install the jumper, other than that it works? you also dont need a resistor

feel, I have taken off the jump wire just to see what that would do did'nt seem to run much diff. There has to be something to do with that p0700 code that is not letting the trans and computor cummunicate

you need the jumper, my gets kind of crazy limp mode like that too when there is no jumper. make sure your ground is good (i used some sand paper on metal support on bottom of dash)
