thanks for the reply, yea I had it in gear and tried it going down the road. My toggle has a led light in it and when you turn it on the light is on I'm getting power then when the truck locks the convertor in fourth gear the light will go off on my toggle switch so "I think" that is when the computer turns off the power to that wire witch activates the convertor. same as grounding the wire out I do understand that and how it is suppose to work but not sure why it does not. I have ground right to the battery just to make sure it was not the ground wire still nothing.

As far as using the T.C. lock to launch, no you cannot use it for this purpose because if you lock it while you are sitting still it will kill the engine. It is like dropping the clutch in a standard while sitting still... A good time to lock the converter is at about 1500 rpm in second gear, it seems to be about the right power range in my truck. If you get good timing and you lock it at 1500 the truck just sits you back in the seat and pulls very hard al the way to 100 plus mph. Its awsome Be careful if you are running a stock tranny though, those locked shifts under high power are an input shafts worst nightmare!
Chuck
in my 99, the tc lock-up switch wont lock the tc until second gear, so if im at a stop (in first gear) i can flip the toggle switch and accelerate. when i hit second gear, the tc locks up and continues to do so into OD (wont lock in 1st). therefor i can launch with the lock up switch on.
