03 a High Output?

I found an 03 6 spd on the innernet. wondering how to tell which motor it had? I thought the HO's didn't come out till 04.5, but the dealer said it was an HO...wondering if anyone knew? and how much diffrence is between them also wondering if the price sounds decent? 03 2500 qc lb 4x4 6spd 87,000 miles no mods for 22,000 thanks alot for your help

if it has the 6 speed, its the HO, unless they did a 5 to 6 speed conversion. They came out with the HOs on the 2nd gens, and by the time 04.5 rolled around they were all HOs

Truck sounds identical to mine, and I paid 21500 3 years ago, but I did lots of shopping around, and drove 12 hours to get it.

There will be a label on the drivers side of the valve cover as well. 305hp/555lbft is the HO.

Yup like JWH said. If it's a 6 speed, it's a HO. Unless it was swapped in. Sounds alot like mine!

Not a bad price, but see if you can talk them down a little. I should have shopped around more for mine...they raked me over the coals...

I gave 19,500 for mine (all stock, new tires) with 109,000 miles on it. Of course I bought it right before the bottom fell out of the truck market.

Try and deal with them, or keep looking.

NO Banks. Go with the Edge Juice with Attitude (includes gauges, safety parameters, and backdown features), or a Smarty or Smarty JR (must buy seperate gauges). Both are very good units. Depends on what you want in the long run. I like my Juice for on the fly adjustability and simple operation. No downloading or programming from home PC to trucks computer. And the Juice has gauges built in, and you can get a used one for about $500 on here. Just my .02

22 is a little high for an 03' 6spd. I got my 07' auto for 24K, 33,000 miles on it.

It all depends on location. In my area, truck prices (diesels) haven't come down much. Sucks. Unless you want to travel 1000's of miles away to get one. Then you run the risk of it being junk or ragged when you get there.

I paid $14k for mine with 109k miles on it. It also came with a TST on it. The market is really down and there are some deals to be had...at least in CO.
