I checked my 03, It doesn't have a clamp but doesn't appear to have been leaking. I'm going to put one on though to be on the safe side.

I just had this problem while I was up in South Dakota over Christmas. Never leaked prior to getting into the cold weather(-12), but that did it. Easy fix if you know about it, but ridiculous that we as owners need to worry about simple things like this. I guess that's the beauty of this forum and the knowledge that gets passed around!

Its a europeanism, I think. All of my VW fittings were like that. Finding the source of a leak was like reading a 'where's waldo' book.

Questions for you guys. I looked at my truck last night. Are all of the Radiator overflow outlets plastic? I looked at it and found out that I do NOT have a clamp there and that it really didnt look big enough or stong enough to handle a clamp. Should I just zip tie it or do I have a different situation? The outlet that the rubber hose goes over was about half an inch long.

Thanks

YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE A SCREW CLAMP THERE IS REALLY NO PRESSURE ON THIS HOSE,I USED A TIE WRAP ON MINE,BEEN 50,000 MILES WITH NO LEAKS. IF YOU OVERTIGHTEN A PLASTIC HOSE NIPPLE IT WILL CRUSH IT(HA-HA HE SAID NIPPLE)
