DTT Shift Enhanser

For all you 05-07 48RE guys out there with gear hunting issues I recommend getting the Shift Enhanser. I just installed mine and noticed a difference right away. It shifts when it is supposed to without confusion. Great product from DTT.

Here is where I mounted mine.

Thanks for the pic, what did it cost and is it user friendly to install? and by the picture it looks like it has different modes for towing and stuff, with that installed do you ignor the tow haul mode or use as normal?

thanks.

You caught me just in time. It cost $265 and if you know about electrical work it is fairly simple. I'm a complete novice and did it in about 6 hrs. It does have the different modes but I don't know about ignoring the tow/haul mode on the shifter. I would assume you do. I'll check with DTT.

6 hours? I am guessing this is not just a plug and play module?

Where'd you find it for that price. Seems like I can only find it for around $325.00. I myself am interested in getting one of these or the TS unit, so research beginning.
Thanks
Wood

A buddy of mine had one on his 05 for awhile finally got smart and stripped it off the truck and put a regular lockup switch and a good valve body HTS valve body in it seemed his problems were all coming from DTT.

How about giving us a clue as to where your coming from and substantiate your comment..

Before I would even start to guess how it works.... Tell us how it hooked up? During install did you cut or tap into the VSS wire and the TCC wire? What else was touched and was it tapped or cut and run through the module?

We need more than the "my buddy" story.

Well, to answer another question, it is not plug and play. Next, 5 wires must be connected from the supplied wiring harness. One for ignition power on the steering column, (2) ran to the pos/neg battery terminals and, (2) ran to the transmission actuator wiring harness. I don't know the technical specs on the wire but it is 'orange'. Split that wire and wire the supplied (2) wires to it in order to re-route the signal through the Shift Enhanser. Clear as mud? Hope this helps.

Order direct from DTT. I think the TS has it priced at $325.
