Yeah, it actually states right in their warranty papers that they will not cover labor for warrantied parts. So it was no surprise to me.

UPDATE: New valve body is installed, and everything is working great! I dare say that it seems to shift better with this valve body than it ever did with the old one.

Overall, I'd have to say that the customer service I received from ATS so far has been just fine. Granted, some may complain about having to pay for the labor and such, but I wouldn't say that's too uncommon with performance parts warranties.

ATS provided pre-paid return shipping. I thought that was nice that I didn't have to come up with the cost for that. Now we'll see how the refund for the warrantied part pans out. If any issues arise, I'll be sure to post up what happens. But I feel pretty comfortable. I don't expect any issues on the part of ATS for the refund.

Thanks to the people who gave their advice. Best of all, I'm no longer pre-occupied with any possible future warranty issues. Eric at ATS has been very helpful.
