Your skim key is the programmed key for you anti theft. no idea why a code would show, unless it is ignition related maybe.

im getting a P0700 code. anyone know what will fix it

That's not complete. P1751 and P1754 are both transmission codes -

P1751-TRANSMISSION THROTTLE VALVE POSITION MINIMUM RANGE PERFORMANCE
P1754-TRANSMISSION THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR STUCK

P0700 is just a companion code telling you that there is a code set in the transmission control module, and tells it to set the check engine light.

If you guys start up a tread with your problem in the 3rd gen powertrain forum or the 911 help forum, you'll get quicker response and more exposure.

will unhook the battery clear codes?

no, they battery trick doesnt work on our trucks, you have to have a scan tool, or someone to plug in their programmer and clear them for ya...
