I decided today to crawl underneath the truck and have a look. I can notice a very slight haze coming out of the blowby tube, is that normal as well??

My nerves aren't bad, lol, but like you say, I would sell the truck if I knew it was bad.
Just rolled 177 000 on the clock and I'm pretty sure it has original injectors. I don't run her hard but I know new injectors are a good idea.

thanks again, Lyle
Is that 177k kms or miles?

UUUmmmmmm, yea that no looka goood!! Good luck with that....

Just like smokindually said, I had a clogged crankcase vent (oil was leaking out underneath it) I changed that out and after a coupe days I noticed my blowby has really decreased, almost none at all. Gotta like it!

I new old truckers that did Bonami overhauls. Start it up and put about 1t. of Bonami down the intake. Sometimes it would reseat the rings for a while. Craig

You could pull all the injectors and put a lil oil in each cylinder and it could possibly reseat the to hs but at 214 I don't think it'll work... You might wind up doin a complete on that one, I'm sure ull prolly find a scared cylinder wall when u tear into it and if not then that'll be great

Whats the best way to look into the cylinder? scope or should I just do a compression test. If its not a scored wall or messed up ring what could it be?
Im still paying on the truck I already put a tranny in it its gonna suck if i have to spend 5k for a short block but nothing i can do about it but i will basically have a brand new truck lol

You can use a borescope for a quick way to ck the cylinder walls and u should be able to see the crosshatch marks on the walls as well if ur cylinders are still ok
