Smile guys with built transmissions

I recently bought a bad *** truck 2005 3500 with built trans. and was wondering about service the trans. how do you guys go about adjusting the bands, do you do it the same as factory or differently. thanks

I'd figure out what fluid the previous owner used in it. Dodge calls for ATF+4 fully synthetic but a lot of builders only want dexron 3. That's what Garmon uses in all his.
