Mine used to do this too! However, it no longer does it. It started after I put on the level kit and I noticed it when pulling my ski boat around 65-70 mph. I was told by someone here on the site that it was possibly the carrier bearing. I did not notice it happening the last time pulled the boat around.

Yeah, Mine is now gone. I was driving it yesterday around 65 it started shaking really bad. I had snow packed in the rims. I took it to discount tire to get them balanced and rotated (it needed it). They did the balance and rotate, and told me they were all off a little, but one of the back ones (now on front) was off by 5 oz. Since the balance and rotate, driveline vibration gone. I didn't think that a wheel unbalanced would only do that in a 55-65 mph range. I thought that it would do it all the time. Who knew

We used to screw around with eachother by putting large wads of duct tape, taped to the inside sidewall of the tire, resulting in a lot more vibration than what you'd think.

By the way, I got the new driveshaft installed with the new u-joints and all my vibrations are gone. Not exactly sure I bent the driveshaft...

I don't mean to highjack your thread, but my truck just started to do something similar. Mike runs smooth as silk below 70mph. But at 70 the rear starts to vibrate. The best way to describe it is an "audible vibration" or a rumble. I can change in tone and intensity by accelrating on decelerating. Holding a very constant throttle, the vibration desscrease quite a bit. I pulled my driveshaft and the U joints have no play and are not seazed.
Other ideas?

Mine was doing the same thing. Mine wasn't very audible, but it was at 60-70 mph. Anything above and below that it would smooth out. I have heard of people removing the drive shaft and drive in 4wd to see if it still happens. That way you would be able to tell if it is anything in that area. That was my next move after having the tires balanced and rotated.

Mine was a tire out of spec by 5 oz. I didn't have to remove the drive shaft. One of my buddy's had the exact same thing happen to him as well. I never thought a tire out of balance would cause vibration at certian speeds. It was only $42.00 to have them balanced and rotated, so it was a cheap investment.
