Rebuilding engine in 2006

I'm having the engine rebuilt in my truck due to an oil filter failure. The rear piston is shot.Where is the best place to get a rebuild kit? Is there anything else I should do to it while its getting fixed. This truck is used mostly as a daily driver, but I do tow with it also.
