I think you may have to search around a bit. When you say hang there do you mean hang in first or bounce between 1st and second mainly on light throttle acceleration? The latter is shuttle shift. Shift kit's and upgraded GM solenoids are said to fix it MOST of the time.
If you have more than 60,000mi it's time to adjust the bands on the trans. The one that might help your problem a tiny bit is on the outside of the trans on the left.
