Just traded my 2005 for a 2006 and the lights on the dash are aranged a bit different, but on my 2005, the Glow plug light would alway come on just for a few seconds no matter how hot it was outside and even when the motor was warmed up.
On this 2006 truck, the glow plug light never comes on, I mean I haven't seen it yet come on, I did the insturment panel test and it light up, but not when I normorly go to start the truck. Is this normal? Is there a difference between the 05 and 06 on how the glow plugs work or come on.
There is a little round red light that comes on and stays on say 5 seconds and then goes out just like the glow plug light on my 05 would, but according to the manuel of the truck, that light is just a security light. Thoughts???
My buddy has an 06 and told me that his Grid heater light doesn't even bother to come on if it's hot outside. In all honesty you dont need it until you start hitting freezing temps from what I have read on here.
