2003 5.9 White Smoke At Idle

My 03 Has 196000 Miles On It And About 3 Weeks Ago I Noticed Some White Smoke Coming Out The Tail Pipe. I Put The Banks 6 Gun On It With The 5 In Exhaust And The Cold Air About 5 Months (6000 Miles) .it Hasnt Given Me Any Trouble Until 3 Weeks Ago. I Disconnected The Banks And No Change. The Truck Starts Easy With No Delay And Idles Smooth. The Only Thing I Can Say Is That It Is A Little Weak With Out The Banks.just Wondering What Everyone Thought?/(injectors)

Especially if you are on original injectors that is most likely your problem. Stock common rail injectors usually get replaced around 100k-125k miles especially with a power adder of any sort. There are plenty of vendors on this site that can help you out with pricing of new injectors if it is determined that is the issue.

i'd say go with a set of 50 horse injectors that will actually increase mileage and power. I am partial to dynomite diesel injectors. I have found them to be very high quality.

I had the Banks on my '03 and had a "little white smoke" for a few days, and it was concerning me as well. Well, within a few days that little white blew out a huge white cloud and there I sat along the road. It was an injector that got stuck open. I had 2 more go bad with the Banks before i ditched it.

well basically with any chip/programmer that increases rail pressure you going to shorten the life of your injectors. I actually have an extreme problem of what your dealing with right now on my personal truck. I was on a 250 mile trip last night. got it up to 95 messin around with a ricer and the truck just lost all power and poured out the white smoke. So this weekend I gotta pull out all six and see exactly what went wrong. Its exactly a cheap fix with these common rail injectors, but while your in there might as well go a bit bigger for some more mileage and fun!

Figured it was an injector problem, my pop has a 6.0 stroker that has 150k on it. His truck is in the shop for stalling out on him 2-3 times. I believe they said it was an injector problem. He doesnt use his truck to pull, just a daily commuter. Should he replace the injectors to stock? Wheres a cheap place to get em?

Cheap and good don't always go hand in hand. Although I'm sure he doesn't need full out race injectors, I wouldn't skimp out on cheap injectors from a shop without a good reputation. I would either go stock injectors or the smallest aftermarket ones you can get (probably 50hp) from a reputable injection shop

If you thought/think Banks was the best for your '03 I'm kinda curious how you came to that conclusion. As I am surprised no one else has said yet, get a smarty and some gauges or a TST. Sounds to me like you may have a cracked or stuck injector.
Black Smoke, if yours poured out smoke like mine, that white cloud damn near trumped almost any black cloud I've ever seen!
