Tranny not going into 1st (Automatic)
Got a 2005 Auto (48RE)....and sometimes when I come to a stop...it doesn't drop into first and wants to take off in 2nd. I can even put it into Park....then drive again....and still wants to take off in second. It doesn't always do this....but once it starts.....it pretty much keeps doing it. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Dave |

Much appreciated. Is this the same thing that's responsible for the hunting shift for 2nd gear? I was contemplating replacing the valve body with one of the aftermarket setup to get rid of that. But if the solenoid will take care of the hunting as well...then I may just go that route. Thanks again.... |
