Amsoil

I am thinking of switching to Amsoil 15w-40 Synthetic Blend.

Says its CI-4PLUS rated. Think that covers my 06. I just wanted to know if it is a good lube . Im going to buy the 55 gallon drum. Comes out to about $16.40 a gallon before shipping.

Anyone else use this version ? I am currently using rotella syn 5w40.

I run amsoil, but have never run the Blend, just the 100% synthetic.

A 55 gallon drum is about 275K miles worth of oil... Are you sure you need 55 gallons?

I run Delo, and have been happy with it so far. What difference did you notice after switching? Did you do oil analysis? Did your mileage go up? Just wondering it is is worth so much more money, because Delo is pretty cheap.

You'll hear the difference when you put it in the motor.

Amsoil

I was looking on Amsoil's website

They say to use the new Premium 5w40 in my 2006 5.9 L

I live in Canada, cold winters and it doesn't get that hot in the summer
