Wow! Edge Ez Was The Cause Of All My Problems

WELL AFTER 3 YEARS OF OWNING MY TRUCK HOURS AND HOURS OF SEARCHING POSTS HERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT PROBLEMS WITH MY TRUCK ALL I HAD TO DO WAS UNPLUG THE DAM EDGE CHIP I FEEL KINDA DUMB BUT I NEVER FIGURED A CHIP COULD CAUSE TRANNY PROBLEMS OR FUEL PRESSURE PROBLEMS. I JUST WANTED TO SAY TO EVERYONE IF YOUR TRUCK IS ACTING UP THE FIRST THING YOU SHOULD DO IS UNPLUG YOUR CHIP! I WAS STARTING TO LOOSE FAITH IN DODGE BUT NOW I LOVE MY TRUCK AGAIN IT WASNT HER FAULT. NOW SHE RUNS GREAT AND EVEN SHIFTS PROPERLY FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT

here are the problems the chip caused
i have been shifting my truck manually for the past 3 years because it wouldent downshift into 1st gear in drive.
started running rough and low fuel pressure code came up so i capped the rail, put in a new FCA,cleaned all the grounds i could find, no help and was starting to think injectors or somthing. hope this helps someone

ps; im done with edge thinking about a smarty next

It's a dumb idea to run a pressure box as your only programmer anyway. Good luck to you.

Cause the Edge EZ raises rail pressure. It wears out injector tips prematurely. Also it doesn't advance timing at all, which is the most efficient way to add power and gain mpg's. Honestly I know you don't like Edge at the moment but if I were you I would get a used Edge Juice w Attitude out of the classifides. You could sell your EZ which would cover about 1/2 the cost of the Juice. With the Juice you can adjust power on the fly, set safety backdowns, and have a whole bunch of gauges all in one unit.

opps guess i could have given you an idea of my truck use.

its my daily driver to work, i barely ever tow becides my camping trailer 3 times a year but its under 5k, i love to spank other trucks and mustangs in the evenings. i also take it to the local 1/8 mile track twice a year it ran a 9.8 at 5000 feet. basically im looking for somthing similar in power to the edge ez maby a little more. ok foresure more. thanks

For the Smarty guru

On the other hand though, the Juice/Attitude is a nice plug and play unit man. My buddy has one in his 05. Doesn't pull anything like my Crazy Larry/EZ stack but its a lot nicer than stock. I would check it out for what you say your looking for!

Something that adds timing and duration. Think of a pressure box as a supplement to an already modded truck.

Yes.

That is just one of the many popular combinations.

You just need one from each column. Some trucks respond differently to the "stack", so some people try different combinations. Don't forget about the supporting mod's!

Tuner: Pressure Box:

Smarty Power Puck
Edge J/A MP-8
Bully Dog TD Edge
