I have heard a ticking sound after my truck has been running for about 3 or 4 minutes. It goes away after a bit. I will check it out when I get home from Michigan tomorrow. I am suppose to go hunting on Tuesday and have to drive 300 miles to get there. I will let you all know what I find. My truck has 60k on it.

Guys, I have the replacement #4 line... do you recommend using a diesel comptaible thread sealant on both ends of the new #4 injector fuel line?

Knew about this post for a while and finally got around to checking my truck after picking up a tick when running. I was a little suprised to find that half of them were loose with only 35K miles on the truck. Great thread, definitely saved me from some frustration later.

Ok Im back from hunting ( Deer 1 hunter zero) but I am going to Montana on Friday to go killing as my hunting partner terms it. Any way I was doing an oil change today and remembered to check my injectors. They were not real loose but did need to be snugged down.
thanks for the heads up.. Are there any Chrysler engineers out there who read this or own a Dodge ram they designed... If so I hope you are taking notes on how to improve your trucks

Mine broke about a mile from my house. I went to the dealer and they said i was 199th in line to get one and they werent sure when they could get it. So i checked local junk yards and after going to 2 yards I found a 5.9 common rail like i needed ...

but they had already robbed the #4 off of it. Ended up finding one in Little rock and had it sent up here for $80 bucks when the dealer wanted $45...

the lesson to be had here is buy stock in #4 lines and start a thread on here and sell away !!!

One little high siding event has cost me well over 6g's this year alone replacing everythng from transfer case, steering gear, shocks to new u-joints and the like. I really thought this one was going to hurt the wallet. Now if we can get rid of the vibration in the rear I would stop going bald. Thanks for the great advice truck is no longer sounding like a monkey beating the cr*p out of the engine.
most of the time the rear u-joint is the vibration.
