This just happened to my friends 05. Hairline crack right at the neck as the fellow above just stated. Problem was we were right in the middle of the Dempster Hwy in Northern Canada. 750 kms of uninhabited tundra/dirt/mud road pulling trailers - one stop with a gas station and their tow truck was out of commision! Mobile CAT welder mechanic brazed it for us

Good heads up! I put a few clicks on mine (a little timid about overdoing it) rather easily. My rig has only got 23k on it! Checked all the others, they were tight.

won't hurt to pop the hood and put a wrench on it just to check I had one loose before I did injectors way back when. went to undo the bolt and it was already loose

ya I replaced mine as well i was sitting at idle at work one morning and smelt diesel popped the hood sure enough saw it leaking. My uncle works on diesel's for a living and he said it's the vibration from the motor that cracks the line. he had a guy replace all the lines in one of there trucks and then next day had to replace all of them again because the guy didn't put the line holders on and they all vibrated and cracked

Yes it's the little blue clamp, it's an 8mm, and it's the fourth line back from the front!

I'm glad you guys like the thread, I started it because of all my problems and thought someone else might have the same problems. especially with the back order on these puppies. Glad to see you guys got your stuff tightened up also. That could of made a big problem, especially with how hot the exhaust gets in all.
