Steering linkage recall.

A fellow dodge owner at work told me about the steering linkage recall. So I check out dodge owners website, i enter my last eight digits of my vin. it is there as a safety issue. it was post as of today on the website.

I have read about here the forum. I don't What years are afftected.

just checked mine same safety steering linkage

2005 ram 2500,cab lights, G56,south bend 3250 clutch, 5 inch exhaust into 7 inch tip,viair on board air system, nathan p3 airchime, bhaf, silencer ring and cat m.i.a. 2 inch leveling kit, 35x12.50x17 cooper s/t, bullydog scarry larry, phantom 2 gauges

I read the recall this morning on their service site. The easiest way to determine if you're affected is to take a look at the steering dampner. Attached is the excerpt from the recall. All 3rd gen MYs are listed as being affected.

Hows does this affect trucks that have gone the 08 steering mod route, per TSB 22-005-06? Just curious.

I just checked my truck and its listed!! Anybody know what the recall involves?

2004.5 2500 QCSB 4WD HO, 48RE, No more kitty and a gutted intake, Smarty JR and 295/70-17 DynaPro ATm's on the stock wheels, Glow-Shift 3 in 1 Gauge.

Possible replacement of pitman arm, inner drag link and steering dampener bracket. A lot of it is inspection though Just because you have the clamp style bracket doesn't necessarily mean you have any action required
