You are correct. The lube recommended for the NV5600 has a 5w-30 rating.

Just d/l the 2005 service manual parts 1 and 2, winrar is requiring a password.. do we have one? or perhaps the file was encrypted by whomever has it on their share site?

I guess if we don't have the pass this will serve as a heads up that the link has become outdated.

On here it says for power steering fluid i'm supposed to use ATF? Is this correct? Any reasoning? Figured the local diesel mechanic would have mentioned that to me when i was talking about switching out the power steering pump...

The spec actually reqires ATF+4. Same as tranny and transfer case.

Does any one know what size allen the oil drain plug is?

I think its a 3/8" ratchet (square) If i remember correctly.

I have heard everyone saying to let the motor warm up before draining the oil but how hot should i get it? The hotter the better or is there a cooler temp I can drain at? sorry for all the newbie questions.

Just warmed up should be fine. If its too hot, its kidna a pain if you spill the oil on yourself pulling the plug or removing the oil filter The hotter it is, the easier it flows out of the oil pan though.
